Platform Deployment Architect – Dublin – Financial Services – AWS/GCP/Python
 
Our client, a significant Hedge Fund is expanding its operations here in Dublin and has engaged IT Search to speak to Architect level Platform experts to build out their AWS and GCP based solutions, working with teams of internal technology specialists across development, support, and infrastructure plus liaising with internal end users who manage significant assets on behalf of clients.
 
This role will have responsibility for a significant platform, designing and building frameworks and components in conjunction with end users. Note, it will be hands on and will require strong Python skills, Linux experience and more.
 
The role will be a mix of onsite at my client’s Dublin City office and remote work, so you’ll ideally live within easy commuting distance of Dublin City.
 
Role Responsibilities:

• Cloud Architectural responsibilities for a series of solutions within trading
• Work within a team of senior Cloud Engineers in both AWS and GCP
• As part of a global senior team of architects, act as a Subject Matter Expert for best practice in terms of technology and end user efficiency

 
Requirements:

• 10+ years of post grad Cloud related experience
• Certifications within AWS, additional experience/certifications within GCP an advantage
• Additional IaC tools e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible required
• Track record of Security Awareness
• Exceptional communication skills alongside an ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
• High level of Python development (this will be an ongoing requirement)
