IT Support Engineer (with DL)

For our client, an Irish rapidly expanding engineering company based in Maynooth, Co. Kildare, we are looking for an IT Support Engineer.

This is a unique chance to be part of a large growing organisation. This IT Engineer will be closely cooperating with the UK office and provide support to the engineering teams in Ireland.

This is a full-time permanent position 5 days a week on site in Maynooth, Co. Kildare, Ireland
Salary guide is 50K p.a. with some flexibility for the right person

Responsibilities:

• Maintain essential IT operations (operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware)
• Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration
• Implementing IT projects, recommending changes and improvements
• Manage service delivery from all third-party hardware/software providers.
• Work closely with IT helpdesk in UK to optimise IT service delivery across the organisation
• Report key IT related metrics to the IT HQ (UK)
• Train users on both software and hardware, troubleshoot, and provide technical support

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in a similar IT support position
• Experience across a broad range of areas (operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware)
• Strong hands-on approach as well as acting as a partner to the management
• Ability to work independently with little guidance (IT department in UK)
• Ability to troubleshoot PC / Laptop hardware and printer issues
• Excellent communication skills, user oriented
• ***Full Irish Driver’s license ***(very rare traveling to clients’ site, Dublin region)
