Head of Data and AI – Contract

Unique opportunity for a Head of Data and AI / Director of Data and AI to work with a major UK hospitality organisation embarking on a significant AI transformation programme
 
This is Dublin city centre based (2 days on site), and an initial 6-month contract (likely to extend) focused on translating executive-level AI ambition into a structured, prioritised, and actionable programme of work.
 
This is a high-impact engagement where you’ll work directly with senior executives to shape the AI roadmap, establish governance, prioritise business use cases and lead an experienced delivery team through the first phase of execution.
 
Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of an enterprise AI strategy
• Build and execute a prioritised AI roadmap
• Identify high-value AI, Machine Learning & Automation opportunities
• Establish AI governance and responsible AI frameworks
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of (c8-10) Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Business Analysts and Project Managers
• Engage directly with Executive and Board-level stakeholders
• Deliver tangible business outcomes within a fast-paced six-month engagement

 
Requirements

• Proven experience leading large-scale Data or AI transformation programmes in large complex organisations, ideally in a consultancy or advisory capacity

• Strong commercial and stakeholder management skills
• Experience developing AI strategies and turning them into executable roadmaps
• Knowledge of Generative AI, Machine Learning and modern data platforms
• Consulting or enterprise transformation background highly desirable
• Experience within Hospitality, Retail, Consumer (with large customer, loyalty, marketing datasets) would be advantageous but isn’t essential
