Cybersecurity Analyst 12 month Fixed Term Salaried Contract – Dublin or remote
My client is a semi state agency and has engaged IT Search to speak to Cybersecurity candidates who are actively looking for a new position that blends hands on monitoring and vulnerability/incident response alongside occasional GRC activities. This role will suit a candidate with 2/3 years of commercial experience looking for exposure in a larger environment.
The role:
- Working as part of a team (mostly remote) on SIEM and cloud/email security processes
- Blue team activities including incoming security events, escalation of same where required, incident documenting as well as investigation/triage
- Maintain vulnerability assessments across various threat vectors, ongoing reporting and SLA compliance
- Manage internal red team simulations, training and ongoing best practice across departments
- Work with auditors to gather GRC related detail when requested
- Assist ongoing penetration testing and tracking of actions
Requirements
- 3 years of hands on post grad IT Security experience
- Degree in Cybersecurity an advantage as well as any Cybersecurity certificates
- Knowledge of threat analysis, responding to incidents, addressing vulnerabilities
- Experience of SIEM, network security, Antivirus etc.
- Comfort in working on both Windows and Linux systems
- Exposure to GRC aspects, NIST, 27001 or similar
- Real world phishing response/training experience
- Excellent communication skills and attitude, ability and desire to learn on the job is vital
