We’re seeking a hands-on Technical Business Analyst to join the Technology team at a leading financial services organisation. You’ll work across high-impact regtech projects, turning business requirements into data-driven technical solutions.
The Role
You’ll bridge business and technology — using your SQL expertise to deep-dive into data, validate system logic, and ensure smooth integration across complex financial platforms.
This role is perfect for a contractor who enjoys problem-solving, fast-paced delivery, and collaborating in Agile teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document business and system requirements
- Write and execute SQL queries for data validation and issue resolution
- Map data flows between risk and finance systems
- Support UAT and production rollout
- Liaise with development, data, and business teams across global initiatives
Skills & Experience
- 4–7 years’ experience as a Business Analyst in financial services
- Advanced SQL and data analysis skills (joins, transformations, integrity checks)
- Strong understanding of relational databases and data-driven workflows
- Hands-on with Jira, Confluence, and Excel
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have: experience with regulatory reporting, ETL, or BI tools (Tableau, Power BI)
