Job Details

Senior Data Analyst
Location: Hybrid – 2 days onsite in Dublin/Office
Salary: €80,000 – €100,000 + 10% Bonus
Sector: Insurance

We are working with a leading Insurer to find a high-calibre Senior Data Analyst. This is a pivotal hire for a business that prides itself on underwriting discipline and pricing integrity across Motor and Home lines.
As our client scales, they require a “hands-on” data expert to take full ownership of their centralised data lake. This isn’t just about running reports; it’s about ensuring the business has a “single source of truth” that senior leadership and capacity providers can trust implicitly. You will be the bridge between technical data architecture and commercial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Lake Management: Own and enhance the existing centralised data lake. You will be responsible for ingesting, structuring, and harmonising data from various source systems.
  • Governance & Quality: Review current schemas, define core data entities, and implement robust validation checks and reconciliation controls.
  • Performance Analysis: Identify trends, movements, and drivers across products and channels, translating complex data into concise insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • MI & Dashboarding: Build and maintain high-quality management information packs for both internal leadership and external insurer partners.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with Underwriting, Pricing, Finance, and Operations to translate business questions into analytical outputs.

Your Profile
Our client is looking for a proactive professional who thrives in a visible role and prefers a practical, high-impact environment over theoretical modelling.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven Track Record: At least 5 years’ experience working with data lakes, warehouses, or centralised data platforms.
  • Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in SQL and/or Python is essential, alongside advanced Excel skills.
  • Analytical Mindset: A solid grasp of descriptive statistics and the ability to interpret large, complex datasets with high attention to detail.
  • Communication: The ability to present findings clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Previous experience within a Personal Lines Insurance or MGA environment.
  • Familiarity with WTW’s Radar suite.
  • Experience across both Power BI and Tableau.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • High Impact: You aren’t just a cog in a machine; your work will directly influence portfolio insight and commercial strategy.
  • Modern Environment: You will be taking over a solid data foundation and evolving it, rather than dealing with decades of messy legacy systems.
  • Exposure: You will work directly with senior leadership, gaining an end-to-end view of how a successful MGA operates.
  • Professional Growth: There is significant scope to grow your responsibility and influence as the organisation’s data maturity increases.
