Our client, a Financial Services Multinational have engaged with IT Search to speak to Cloud Migration specialists to help execute their on prem to cloud strategy. They are a well establish and highly successful firm going through a modernisation process.
The role is to work with Senior Cloud Architects and CTO to manage various concurrent migration processes to both GCP and Azure, a mix of hands-on development/engineering/network alongside vendor management, internal documentation and monitoring.
Role:
Adapt and execute existing migration strategies
Taking architecture and scripting to migrate from IaC methodologies to landing zones to virtual machines, ensuring a high attention to security and compliance issues at all points
Adapting legacy products to refactor for cloud migrations to go live
Mentoring DevOps team on best practices
Requirements:
10+ years of commercial experience, ideally with deep knowledge of development processes
Experience in either Azure of GCP migrations from on prem product ranges and related areas
Exposure to Financial Services a benefit (PCI/DSS Compliance ideally but not necessarily)
Exceptional Communication skills
Deep Terraform knowledge required
Experience with Rackspace and OCI advantageous
