Our client is a well-known brand in Financial Services and is working with us to engage a Senior Cloud Engineer to work with the existing team to manage strategy, migrations, architecture and deployment of internal and customer based related systems.
The role is hybrid with weekly office visits, so you’ll need to be based in the South West.
The role:
Working with Senior Management to refine and execute ongoing cloud strategy including areas of security, compliance and on prem to cloud migrations, third party management etc.
Involved in decision making relating to costs, supplier selection and management
High level of security-based considerations and threat analysis
Ongoing Cloud based integrations and mentoring of internal teams
Working on Azure and GCP platforms, hands on with provisioning, observability and high-level pipeline and deployment management
Role Requirements:
At least 10 years of post-graduation experience, initially as a DevOps Engineer/SRE moving into a more architecturally focused role
Deep knowledge of vendor management, cross platform cloud migration projects, security and infrastructure, Financial Services a distinct advantage
Certifications in GCP and Azure of benefit (ideally Solutions Architect level)
Strength in Orchestration tools such (Kubernetes/Docker/Ansible)
Strong pipeline deployment experience
Exceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
