Senior Cloud Engineer – Dublin City/Hybrid onsite/WFH
 
IT Search has partnered with a Multinational Cloud Provider who are expanding their presence in Dublin and are looking to hire a Senior Cloud Engineer to work alongside a highly experienced team of Platform Specialists here and in the USA/Europe to maintain and improve/automate their global architecture and scale cloud infrastructure.
 
We are looking for Senior Engineers with exceptional communication skills, technical strength across IaC (Ansible/Terraform), deep development knowledge plus 10+ years of working for large scale, complex systems with a keen eye for automation. Experience across any of AWS, Azure, GCP and or proprietary cloud systems welcome. The role is Dublin based but with flexibility around WFH/onsite.
 
The role:

• Work with local and global teams to manage automation tools with a focus on operability
• Design/deploy infrastructure surrounding observability
• Work to identify and avoid potential downtime bottlenecks
• Take a leadership role on certain projects, managing engineers in a distributed fashion

 
Requirements:

• 10+ years of hands on commercial experience, including working in a global scale cloud infrastructure environment
• Strength in AWS, GCP or Azure, certifications preferred
• Experience in using Distributed DBs (MongoDB for instance)
• Some background in hands on OO development and a desire to remain hands on
• In depth API knowledge plus additional networking and tools such as Terraform welcome
