Team Lead; Cybersecurity – Cork – Hybrid onsite/remote – Permanent
 
Our client is a leading Insurance provider who are expanding their Cork based Security Team, this requirement is for a Senior Security Engineer to liaise directly with Heads of IT and Security to maintain and improve their Security Posture.
 
The Role:

• Demonstrate Technical rather than Personnel Management Team Leadership within an infosec team
• Work as a Senior member of the Security Team, managing issues as they arise, providing mentoring to more junior members
• Identify potential threat vectors and take steps to protect assets and access
• Act as de facto Manager from time to time, representing Security Manager at internal/vendor meetings etc.
• Contribute to strategic decision making, adapting to market trends, trialling and choosing new technology and techniques while documenting same
• Maintain and improve best practice across networks, access, cloud, communications etc.

 
Requirements:

• 6+ years of commercial IT Security experience
• Technical leadership experience (role does not require personnel management)
• Qualifications in CISM, CCS, CISSP or related
• High degree of demonstrable comfort across Network, Cloud, IT, Pen Test, threat assessment
• Ability to work in Cork two or three days per week
• Exceptional communication skills
