Software Engineer

IT Search has exclusively partnered with a healthcare organisation in Dublin to appoint a Software Engineer into their applications team.
This role will involve working across the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, design, development, and ongoing optimisation of core systems. The environment is a mix of new development and integration with existing platforms.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders and end users to gather requirements and deliver practical, scalable solutions, while contributing to development standards and overall system design.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and development of applications across backend and web layers
- Prototyping and implementing new solutions
- Systems integration with existing platforms
- Working with stakeholders to define requirements
- Adhering to architectural standards and best practices
- Hands-on development, testing, and optimisation
Requirements:
- Strong experience with C# / .NET
- Solid SQL (SQL Server or MySQL) including performance tuning
- Experience with APIs / Web Services (REST, JSON, XML)
- Frontend experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Experience with systems integration
- Exposure to Windows and Linux environments
- Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
Experience within healthcare or exposure to standards such as HL7 or similar would be advantageous, but not required.
