Dublin – Fully Onsite

Salary circa €100 – 120K + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

IT Search has partnered with a global quantitative trading organisation to hire a Senior Python Engineer for a newly established team building a next-generation research and execution platform in Dublin.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role within a high-impact group operating close to front-office trading. You’ll join a small team of quantitative researchers and engineers, helping to design and build the core Python infrastructure underpinning real-time research, strategy development, and execution systems.

This is fundamentally a senior Python engineering role within a quantitative trading environment. Machine learning exposure is valuable, but deep Python expertise and experience working in high-performance, real-time systems are the key priorities.

The Role

  • Design and develop robust, scalable Python systems supporting research and live trading workflows
  • Build and maintain high-performance, real-time data processing pipelines
  • Collaborate closely with quants to translate research models into production-grade code
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and help shape engineering standards from an early stage
  • Implement strong testing, CI/CD, and automation practices across the platform
  • Support model deployment workflows and associated MLOps processes where relevant

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ commercial Python development experience – this is the core requirement
  • Experience working in financial services, quantitative trading, or similar high-performance domains
  • Strong background building systems in high-traffic, low-latency, or real-time environments
  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, testing, and automation
  • Ability to work closely with quantitative and business stakeholders in a fast-paced setting

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to MLOps practices and model deployment workflows
  • Experience working with time-series data platforms such as kdb+
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, XGBoost, or similar
  • Experience with distributed systems or cloud infrastructure

Fully onsite in Dublin with a highly competitive package on offer and flexibility on salary for the right person.
