Senior Project Manager (Technical) – Hybrid in Canberra/Melbourne/Sydney each week
 
Our client has engaged IT Search to select an experienced Project Manager to drive client side and internal implementation and deployment of their flagship products.
 
The ideal candidate will have worked for a Software Vendor as a PM, delivering solutions over a period of years into the Retail Banking sector.
 
Technical knowledge of AWS, DevOps and the development lifecycle will be helpful but not necessary, however ideally you will have worked alongside such teams.
 
The company is a well-established market leader in the area of biometric authentication; their product and service has taken off over the past number of years within a market with high spend on software and specifically around security.
 
Initial intensive training will be provided on the specific product range and the Delivery Lead will be integrated in the client ecosystem over time. Additional project-based development will be ongoing also as well as strong potential for promotion and technical advancement in authentication and biometrics. This firm has an excellent and straightforward interview process that is based around a genuine two-way conversation.
 
The role:

  • Work directly with a number of clients (within Financial Services) in the APAC region and be the main liaison point for implementation issues, working very closely with clients, making changes to programmes when required and communicating changes to all concerned parties
  • Utilise Business Analysis skills to understand and translate client requirements as well as adherence to SLAs
  • Work across functions for my client to ensure a full understanding of deliverables
  • Bring significant planning experience to bear from previous technical implementations
  • Work on technical documentation, identify risks and help define action where required

 
Candidates should have:

  • 10+ years of post grad commercial experience, most recently working in client facing delivery of technical implementations (FS ideal) but from the aspect of a Software Vendor
  • Project Management Certifications
  • Experience in working alongside Development and DevOps teams
  • High level of comfort in working closely with multiple concurrent customers
  • Technical background and familiarity with development and deployment concepts insofar as they can affect the overall project
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and spoken
