This team is responsible for designing and operating modern cloud platforms that make it easier for engineering teams to build, deploy, and run applications at scale. The emphasis is on strong architectural standards, automation, and security embedded across the full delivery lifecycle.
As an AWS Platform Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping and evolving these cloud environments. You’ll work closely with application engineers, SREs, and security teams to deliver robust, well-architected platforms that meet strict availability, performance, and regulatory requirements.
What you’ll be doing
Designing and operating scalable AWS platform infrastructure to support business-critical workloads
Building and maintaining infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automation to reduce operational overhead
Partnering with engineering and security teams to embed observability, compliance, and secure delivery practices
Improving platform reliability by reducing toil and automating issue detection and response
Championing DevSecOps principles throughout the platform lifecycle
Contributing to architectures designed to withstand cloud-native failure scenarios
Providing technical guidance and mentorship across platform and delivery teams
Staying across emerging cloud technologies and recommending improvements where they add value
What our client is looking for
7+ years’ experience across platform engineering, SRE, or backend engineering roles
Strong hands-on experience designing and operating AWS environments in production, ideally within regulated industries
Deep knowledge of AWS security, networking, IAM, and governance
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows
Proficiency in a scripting or programming language (Python, Go, or Shell)
