Senior App Support Engineer – Canberra
Our client has engaged IT Search to select an experienced Application Support specialist with a strong track record of technical support alongside hands on experience in scripting, coding and or mobile development experience or alternatively good working knowledge of Database environments.
The company is a well-established market leader in the area of biometric authentication; their product and service has taken off over the past number of years within a market with high spend on software and specifically around security.
Initial intensive training will be provided on the specific product range and the Application Support Engineer will work with the APAC and Global Support teams to manage and resolve customer issues as they arise.
The role:
- Work directly with a number of customers (within Financial Services, Government and more) in the APAC region and be the main liaison point for technical issues
- Testing applications for incidents using SDKs and bringing tickets through to completion or escalation
- Work with internal development and QA teams to complete technical solutions
- Add to knowledge base and manage release documentation
- From time to time, become involved in the internal AWS environment
- Work to rotating shift with occasional weekends and some out of hours schedules
Candidates should have:
- 7 years of commercial experience in support and or customer liaison from a technical point of view
- Exceptional communication skills, written and spoken, a passion for solving problems and being able to listen to and understand customer issues
- Some hands on technical experience, be it mobile development, general Python or Java development, knowledge of how APIs work, AWS or cloud deployment or scripting
