Job Title: Scrum Master – Banking Industry
Location: Dublin (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Contract Duration: 6-Month Day Rate Contract (Likely to be extended)
Day Rate: €550 – 650 per day
 
About the Role:
IT Search are recruiting a skilled Scrum Master to join a dynamic and rapidly evolving team in the banking industry. This is an exciting opportunity to drive innovation and lead high-performance teams in a collaborative, Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage Scrum teams in an Agile framework, facilitating iterative development and delivering high-quality working software.
  • Act as a servant leader, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective communication between business partners and technical teams.
  • Coach and train Scrum teams on Agile best practices, ceremonies, and artifacts, ensuring teams are continuously improving.
  • Own and manage sprint and quarter-on-quarter metrics, including Daily Radiators, sprint reviews, capacity planning, and quarterly Program Increment (PI) planning.
  • Drive results by identifying and removing impediments, ensuring that teams can focus on delivery and success.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels, from team members to stakeholders, ensuring that project status, issues, and successes are documented and shared.
  • Manage data warehouse and reporting projects within the financial services industry, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance on the use of recognised Scrum workflow tools (JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence) and ensure that project goals are met within deadlines and constraints.

 
Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Scrum Master/Scrum Coach, successfully managing multiple teams and projects in a technical environment.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification required.
  • Experience with Scrum tools (JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence) and familiarity with Agile and Waterfall SDLCs.
  • Proven ability to manage Sprint ceremonies, PI planning, and other Agile processes.
  • Experience in managing global teams and working with distributed teams.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to solve complex problems in high-performance technical environments.
  • Knowledge and experience in managing data warehouse and reporting projects within the financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills with the ability to work across various functional groups.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and planning skills, with a track record of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Scrum Master certification (preferred).
  • Accounting background or financial services experience is a plus.
