Automation QA Engineer

For our client, a software house based in Cork we are looking for a Automation QA Engineer

Hybrid structure in Cork/ remote also possible (from anywhere in Ireland)
Salary guidance is €50K p.a.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute test cycles, including integration, system, regression, and deployment testing
• Design and maintain test plans, scripts, cases, and data
• Write and maintain automated tests and frameworks
• Perform functional and non-functional testing of transactional applications
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and scrum masters to resolve defects
• Report on test progress and quality metrics

Requirements:

• Strong experience in test automation in Python (ideally within a midsized company)
• Experience with Apache JMeter for performance/load testing
• API testing experience
• Knowledge of Unix, MySQL, and optionally Cassandra
• Strong problem-solving, ownership, and communication skills
• Degree in Computer Science or related field
