Alfresco Technical Specialist (Architect or Senior Developer)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Alfresco Specialist to lead and execute a complex application upgrade for a major utility/enterprise client on behalf of a leading technology consultancy.
The client’s current Alfresco platform is moving out of vendor support and requires a migration up to Alfresco v26 across five distinct environments. This platform underpins core business processes, manages high volumes of critical enterprise data, and facilitates both external customer interactions and internal business functions.

We are open to candidates who lean towards an Architect/Consultant profile (leading upgrades and providing strategic technical guidance) as well as Senior Developer profiles (hands-on coding, configuration, and deep platform knowledge). A combination of both is a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and hands-on expertise for a highly complex enterprise upgrade from Alfresco v7.4 to v26 across 5 distinct environments.
• Manage complex platform integrations, ensuring data integrity for large volumes of business data and seamless continuity for internal/external customer-facing applications.
• Deliver architectural guidance, configuration, and coding support tailored to the specific demands of a major infrastructure/utility ecosystem.
• Collaborate closely with consultancy team members and client stakeholders to hit tight migration deadlines.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Alfresco Experience is an Absolute Must: Deep, hands-on enterprise Enterprise Content Management (ECM) experience specifically with Alfresco. Candidates without explicit Alfresco experience cannot be considered.
• Proven Upgrade Experience: Direct experience delivering complex, large-scale Alfresco upgrades and migrations (ideally version 7.x upwards).
• Technical Versatility: Strong capability in either technical architecture/consultancy or senior development (hands-on coding and advanced configuration). A blend of both is highly desired.
• Enterprise Environment Experience: Prior experience dealing with large-scale data environments, heavily integrated systems, or large public sector/utility entities is a major advantage.
• Availability: Ability to onboard quickly and commit to a hybrid working arrangement (2 days a week in either Dublin or Cork offices).
