We’re looking for an experienced Network & Systems Administrator to join our client’s IT team and support critical hospital systems that keep services running smoothly.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll design, manage, and optimise infrastructure across servers, networks, and security — while providing excellent support to internal teams and external partners.
This is a permanent hybrid working structure position 4 days in the office, 1 day remote (non-negotiable) in Dublin South – Sandyford.
The base salary is up to €85K p.a.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and support server infrastructure, virtualisation (VMware/Nutanix), and networks (LAN/WAN/WiFi)
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability
- Administer Windows & Linux environments
- Maintain MS Exchange (on-prem), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
- Manage firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, PF Sense) and network security
- Support storage solutions (SAN/NAS) and backup systems
- Maintain enterprise networking (VLANs, Layer 2/3 switching, segmentation)
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to strengthen IT security
- Act as an escalation point for technical issues
- Contribute to IT projects from planning through to delivery
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in System Administration
- Strong networking knowledge (CCNA level or equivalent)
- Proficiency in VMWare administration, Windows Domains, Linux and Mobile Telephony
- Exposure to cloud services (e.g. Office 365)
- Certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, CCNA, VMware, CISSP (desirable)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Availability for On-Call IT support on a rotational basis.
