Senior Data Scientist – GenAI (Contract)
Location: Dublin (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 months (Strong likelihood of extension)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join a leading AI Software House in Ireland you will be working on a high-impact project developing a next-generation procurement system. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in AI and GenAI within a fast-paced, production-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions in a production setting.
• Build and optimise machine learning models, with a focus on large-scale datasets and GenAI applications.
• Collaborate closely with data engineering, product, and customer stakeholders to deliver actionable solutions.
• Apply strong data science methodologies across the full lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and reporting.
• Leverage Databricks for scalable model development and deployment.

About You

• 8+ years’ experience as a Data Scientist with a strong record of implementing AI in production systems.
• Ideally 1+ year experience in GenAI (LLMs, RAG, or related applications).
• Solid experience with Databricks (heavily prioritised).
• Excellent communicator, able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong background in Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, scipy) and modern ML techniques.
• Proven ability to work independently while collaborating in cross-functional teams.
