IT Search is partnered with a global semiconductor company known for cutting-edge mixed-signal and embedded solutions across aerospace, industrial, and high-reliability systems.
We’re now hiring an Embedded Linux Engineer to join the FPGA division – focused on developing open-source embedded software for custom RISC-V-based SoCs. You’ll take full ownership of new feature development from concept to deployment, working directly alongside chief architects.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Embedded Linux development for FPGA-based systems (Xilinx Zynq)
Linux kernel and driver development, hypervisor integration, and power management
Contributing to open-source tooling and maintaining system reliability at low level
Working across full project lifecycle – from whiteboard to customer delivery
Close collaboration with architecture, hardware and silicon design teams
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of embedded software development experience
Strong background in Linux internals, kernel development, and low-level debugging
Experience working with RISC-V or ARM-based SoCs
Knowledge of FPGA platforms (ideally Xilinx Zynq) and hardware/software integration
Familiarity with hypervisors, power optimisation, and open-source development environments
Someone eager to take ownership, solve challenging problems, and grow with the team
This is a technically challenging role with real scope to deepen your expertise and influence key design decisions. The team operates on a hybrid basis (2–3 days onsite), with a solid benefits package including bonus, pension, health insurance, and employee share options.
