Data Engineer | Day Rate Contract | Dublin (Hybrid)
We’re currently hiring on behalf of a leading financial services organisation for an experienced Data Engineer to join an innovation-focused team delivering cutting-edge machine learning projects.
This is a day rate contract role based in Dublin, with flexible hybrid working options available.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows
Develop and manage efficient ETL/ELT processes
Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability across various sources
Work with relational, graph, and object storage systems
Collaborate with ML Engineers, Data Scientists, and business teams
Optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval performance
Maintain technical documentation and promote data engineering best practices
Experience Required
5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering
Strong Python skills and experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow)
Proficiency in working with structured and semi-structured data formats
Familiarity with relational databases, graph databases, and cloud-based object storage
Understanding of Docker, Git, and CI/CD workflows
Experience in financial services or banking environments is a plus
