Senior Vulnerability Engineer required for global business in the Financial Services/ Asset Management industry.
You will be a member of the Vulnerability Mgmt. team and assigned to a VM Analyst Liaison position. You will be a central point of contact for the business to engage for questions and serve as conduit to the vulnerability management programme for specific business needs.
This is a remote role from anywhere in Ireland with occasional presence to the office in Letterkenny (2 days a month)
Responsibilities:
Support complex deals in the pre-sales stage alongside Qualys sellers.
Understand and document customers’ compliance and security requirements and come up with end-to-end solutions.
Uncover new use cases for the Qualys platform by identifying technical and business value gaps between the customer’s desired state versus existing capabilities and demonstrate how to fill those gaps.
Interface with product management to help prioritise the most impactful feature requests from customers.
Develop and deliver a variety of technical engagements including workshops, whiteboarding architecture design sessions, and post-sale deployment health checks.
Document and distribute business/technical insights to area and corporate leadership
Provide high level guidance to customers building VM programs, supporting processes, and how to support/operate those programs with Qualys.
Requirements:
Previous experience as an architect or SME using Qualys.
Experience building/operating VM programmes.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking protocol stack down to the packet level, able to read and understand PCAPs, able to diagnose and explain networking operational or design issues.
Knowledge of Windows OS & Unix/Linux OS.
Experience with vulnerability scanning tools, assessment, risk rating, threat correlation, asset-based remediation management, and reporting.
