Job Title: Project Manager – SAP Separation/Migration as part of a divestiture.

Location: Ireland, South East – Hybrid working. One day onsite per week.
Duration: 12months

Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead the movement of 25 applications within their organization to a new business entity. This is a critical role that requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing complex projects in the manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire divestiture process, ensuring seamless transition and optimization of the applications within the stipulated timeframe.
There will be some upgrades to applications, but the project will be more focused on a ‘lift and shift’ of existing applications. A lot of the applications are built on SAP or integrated with the same so having experience with SAP is an advantage but not essential in the role.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan for the divestiture of 25 applications.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, and external partners.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to relevant stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.
  • Address concerns and challenges proactively to ensure smooth project progression.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Implement contingency plans as needed to ensure project success.

Application Assessment and Migration:

  • Conduct a thorough assessment of each application slated for divestiture.
  • Develop migration plans to move applications to their new environment.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to ongoing business operations during the migration process.

Vendor Management:

  • Coordinate with external vendors to facilitate the divestiture process.
  • Evaluate and select vendors based on project requirements and organizational standards.
  • Ensure vendor deliverables align with project goals and timelines.

Quality Assurance:

  • Establish and implement quality assurance processes to validate the effectiveness of the divestiture.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in project management within the manufacturing sector, with a focus on application divestiture.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems and applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.

This Project Manager needs to visit sites in Ireland so there will be one day of traveling per week required for this role. The rest can be operated remotely. Please only apply if you can commit
