Senior Network Support Engineer

Job Details

Senior Network Support Engineer required for leading VOIP provider based in Park West, Dublin 12. This Support Engineer will provide support to the business customers across a range of services such as VoIP telephony, networking, managed firewalls, broadband design and troubleshooting. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the role will involve diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, managing new installations, providing technical support to customers, and providing escalation support to the existing team with a strong customer focus always at the forefront. 

 This is a hybrid working role 2 -3 days  in-office/remote and the salary guide is 60-80K p.a. (DOE)
 
Responsibilities:
 

  • Provide technical support and guidance to users experiencing issues with their broadband connections
  • Configuring network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls) for voice and data transmissions.
  • Perform troubleshooting with the Network team on network issues related to VoIP technologies.
  • Installation of Access Points (Ubiquiti) switches and firewalls.
  • Perform customer assessments and technical documentation.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the Technical Support team.
  • Meet or exceed customer expectations and the  SLA with every customer interaction.

 
Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or suitable professional experience
  • 4 + years’ experience in a senior technical support role supporting a range of services. (Network, Firewall, VoIP, Broadband)
  • Strong knowledge of Voice over IP (VoIP), SIP, Networking, TCP/IP, VLAN, SNMP, DHCP etc
  • Proficiency in broadband system technologies including fiber optics, DSL, and wireless connections
  • Familiarity with Ubiquiti products for managed Wi-Fi.
  • Full clean Irish Driving Licence is essential
