Senior Database Administrator

Oracle Senior Database Administrator required for our client, a provider of asset and liability services based in Dublin 1.
As a member of the IT Database Management team, you will be responsible for the company’s maintenance, monitoring and support of the Database Infrastructure and Operations services.

This is a hybrid structure role  1- 2 days a week in office/remote
 
Responsibilities:

• Maintenance, monitoring and support of Oracle 19c databases and Microsoft SQL Server Databases (v2012 – v2019)
• Working as part of a Database Administration Team
• Supporting Business and IT colleagues in the planning, testing and implementation of projects
• Participation in Business Continuity and Database Restore activities.
• Maintenance of all process and procedure documents for the Database Administration team

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database Administrator
• Familiar with Microsoft Windows Server environments
• Oracle 19c and Microsoft SQL Server Certification
• Proven experience in Planning, implementation, testing and documentation of Oracle and Microsoft quarterly Patch Set Updates
• Proficient in MS Office applications – Excel, Word
• Familiar with Database maintenance in Cloud environments – desirable
