Job Title: Senior Data Developer – Cloud Expert

Overview: An opportunity for an experienced Senior Data Developer has arisen. As Senior Data Developer you will lead the charge in implementing cloud data warehousing best practices. Work with cutting-edge technologies like Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, and more while collaborating closely with the Data Engineering Manager to drive strategy and process improvements.

In this role, you’ll be tasked with optimizing existing data tables by producing shared procedures. The challenge includes handling a high volume of data, which needs to be streamlined into a concise output table. Your mission is to efficiently map and propagate this data to the target cloud environment, ultimately refining the multitude of reports down to just five key, impactful reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement cloud data warehousing best practices.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
  • Craft robust SQL stored procedures for Snowflake.
  • Troubleshoot and lead solutions for data-related issues.
  • Collaborate with the Data Governance team to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor and maintain data pipelines for peak performance.
  • Maintain essential documentation for knowledge sharing.
  • Manage stakeholders and prioritize tasks effectively.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in designing and managing data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in Snowflake, SQL Server, T/SQL, SSIS, or Azure Data Factory.
  • Bonus points for Snowflake, PowerBI, Python, or similar scripting.
  • Strong experience with large, complex datasets.
  • Project management skills with Agile Scrum knowledge.
  • ELT/ETL, data replication, API design, and more.
  • Optimization of data integration and preparation processes.
  • Agile and DevOps proficiency for streamlined data workflows.

This is a day rate role from 450 – 550 depending on the experience

This role can be fully remote in Ireland or across Europe. You must be a European Citizen with full working rights to be considered for this role.
