Senior AWS Cloud Engineer (200-250K)

Our client, a significant Hedge Fund is expanding its operations here in Dublin and has retained IT Search to hire a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer for their expanding team in Dublin (3 days in office in Dublin City Centre is required with this role)
 
This role is broadly split 50% cloud native architecture design and development for automation (including containerization) and 50% working on Data app migrations to the cloud
 
Remuneration guide is 200 – 250K (DOE)
 
Responsibilities:

• Work with development teams to design and deploy cloud native architectures, leverage observability and container adoption
• Engineer automation capabilities across multiple accounts in AWS
• Engage with development teams to architect, develop, and maintain their own solutions in AWS
• Build and support AWS automation frameworks
• Be the SME on cloud and container best practices
• Standardize cloud native observability best practices for AWS workloads
• Help design and architect resilient, highly available architectures and evolving to multi-region
• Automate workload deployments using infrastructure as code frameworks such as terraform or cloudformation

 
Requirements:

• 10+ years of post grad commercial experience, ideally working in a multinational FinTech or “Big Tech” brand with massive user bases
• A deep understanding of AWS internals and a breadth of experience across a wide variety of AWS products
• Experience architecting and designing cloud native application architectures from the ground up
• Demonstrates strong cloud security best practices
• Solid programming experience in an object oriented language (python preferably)
• A mastery of containers and a working knowledge of kubernetes
• Solid Infrastructure as Code programming experience (terraform, cloudFormation)
• Experience implementing observability with datadog and elastic
• Experience with AWS Data products
