Senior Application Support Engineer required for our client a leader in developing biometric authentication and identity assurance solutions worldwide.
The Senior Application Support Engineer will have an opportunity to work with the newest biometric and identity management technologies.
This is a permanent hybrid structure role 2 days in office/remote in Dublin
Responsibilities:
Resolving customer issues directly or via escalation processes
Seeking to maximise customer satisfaction on all issues
Reporting and managing product defects and/or enhancement requests
Performing quality assurance on product releases and associated documentation
Delivering and tracking software releases to customers
Creating and maintaining knowledge base content
On-call rota at weekends (remotely) every 4 weeks
occasional trips to the USA might be needed
Requirements:
5+ years’ experience in a similar role
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar
Ability to READ and DEBUG code in at least one of the following languages: Objective-C/Swift, Java/Kotlin, or JavaScript
Knowledge of RESTful API, and the ability to conduct/create REST web services call for testing
Familiar with Java based infrastructure and Linux environment
Basic understanding of TLS/SSL, Apache Tomcat, and security certificates
