Junior Application Support Engineer

Job Details

Junior Application Support Engineer required for one of the world’s most highly regarded FinTech businesses.
 
You will be part of a team that supports the production and certification environments across a suite of varying products.
 
This role can be fully remote from anywhere in Ireland after the training is completed (4-6weeks on site in Co. Kerry, accommodation provided)
 
Responsibilities:
 

  • Performing initial troubleshooting and clearly documenting findings on tickets
  • Ensuring tickets are managed according to priority and business impact
  • Documenting standards, processes and procedures in relating to best practices, issues and resolutions
  • Support the business through a combination of technical configuration changes across multiple technologies, systems and payment protocols
  • Support integration testing with external parties

 
 
Requirements:
 

  • Computer Science or IT related Degree
  • Experience in an IT support role / customer support would be a bonus
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Python
  • Familiar with Linux environment
  • Knowledge of SPLUNK and other logging and monitoring tools would be an advantage
  • Quick learner with excellent communication skills
