IT Project Manager
Initial 6-12 Month Contract, Hybrid, Cork

  • Integrate new projects and global IT initiatives into proposal pipelines, engaging with leadership.
  • Initiate and manage project creation, planning, design, and execution, overseeing critical decision points.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, manage stakeholder relationships, handle escalations, and present to steering committees.
  • Provide consulting support to project managers and staff performing project management functions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee the CTO portfolio, project pipelines, and inter-dependencies in IT PMO/portfolio forums.
  • Collaborate with the global Project Management Office and Planning/Strategy teams on new initiatives, policies, and procedures, ensuring integration within the organization.
  • Support Project Management Audit Controls.

Have you:

  • Over 7 years of IT Project Management experience, leading various projects.
  • Expertise in both Waterfall and Agile Project Management methodologies.
  • Proven track record in managing multiple projects, stakeholder relationships, and presenting to leadership teams.
  • Proficient in Project Management tools (MS Project, Office 365 applications, Project & Portfolio tools).
  • Strong technical understanding of IT delivery projects, including Compute, Network, and Software Solutions.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage business complexities and multiple priorities.
  • Proactive and self-motivated learning style.
  • Ability to influence and align teams in a matrixed and virtual environment.
  • Project Management certification required (PMI, PMP).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change and deliver strong results.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring through project and business validation phases.
  • Skilled in identifying IT-related issues/risks through discussions with cross-functional or site-based teams, both remote and local.:
  • Experience in global, matrixed organizations.
  • Familiarity with governance and reporting requirements in regulated industries, such as SOX.
  • Expertise in organizing complex projects with diverse delivery methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while aligning with global PMO strategies and practices.
  • Recognizing and incorporating new policy changes into project and IT teams.
  • Leading and influencing project teams without direct reporting lines.
  • Ability to hold project teams accountable and ensure adherence to governance and reporting best practices.
