Python Developer – Full Stack

**4 days onsite per week in Ballsbridge office**

Our client, a large North American Bank is looking for an experienced Python developer to join the team in Dublin.

As a Developer you will be responsible for building end-to-end efficient solutions in Python (backend) and JavaScript (frontend) to address the business needs. The role provides an excellent opportunity to work closely with the Operations Teams and explore financial markets and trading.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop, design, and maintain end-to-end solutions for trading including booking, pricing, and reporting tools utilising Python.
  • Implement analytical dashboards for the Web using JavaScript (React).
  • Provide day-to-day support for traders on the exiting tools and the data-related requests.
  • Engage with stakeholders directly to communicate their needs, execute, and deliver projects in a timely manner.

Skills and Experience:

  • Develop, design, and maintain end-to-end solutions for trading including booking, pricing, and reporting tools utilising Python.
  • Implement analytical dashboards for the Web using JavaScript (React).
  • Provide day-to-day support for traders on the exiting tools and the data-related requests.
  • Engage with stakeholders directly to communicate their needs, execute, and deliver projects in a timely manner.
  • We are looking for a Python Developer with strong quantitative and/or financial skills who is eager to learn about financial markets. We are also open to candidates with an extensive quantitative or finance background and a desire to pursue further career in Development.
  • 3-5 years of industrial experience with Python (backend) including Pandas and NumPy is a must, experience with JavaScript (frontend) is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with relational (MySQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases is highly desirable.
  • Experience with AWS services and migration to the cloud are a plus.
  • Very good communication, attitude, and level of ownership.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interest in financial markets and instruments.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Third level qualification in Mathematics, Computer Science or Finance (or similar).
