DevOps Engineer – AWS – Remote from Ireland
 
Our client, a Telecoms software consultancy based in the Midlands, has engaged IT Search to
introduce an DevOps Engineer with AWS experience on a permanent basis. The role is to join an existing large team working closely with a multinational software firm to bring DevOps expertise to ongoing processes within database and cloud based transformation and migration.
 
The role will be developing cloud environments in a secure fashion, a mix of data hosting and analytical platforms for semi state and private organisations. Also involved will be building out deployments and maintaining production environments.
 
Duties will include:

• Bringing CI/CD and IaC experience to bear on cloud builds and deployments
• Creating test automation frameworks, maintaining scripts and production support
• Being involved in setting up and maintaining manual and automated test environments
• Ongoing and accurate documentation

 
Role Requirements:

• 5+ years of post graduation experience in a DevOps Environment (ideally AWS)
• Experience in deploying infrastructure in AWS with both Linux/Windows server build
• Source control knowledge (GitHub), CI/CD and IaC (namely Terraform/Ansible)
• Comfortable working in a TDD environment and strong scripting (Shell/Bash/Python) skills
• Additional experience in VMWare, Kubernetes, Docker will be beneficial
• Exceptional communication skills a pre requisite
