An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Database Team Lead to join a large player in the renewable energy field. This is a newly created role and you will be the second in command to the Head of Infrastructure with a strong opportunity for further growth within the company. As Technical Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of Database administrators that support the business database environments. You will be a coach and mentor, showcasing best practices across the team. This role has become available due to the exponential growth across the company.
Responsibilities:
Leading and coaching the team of Database administrators
Supporting the Head of Infrastructure
Proactively monitor system performance
Oversee backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and Always On of databases availability groups.
Effectively review database growth and extensions
Oversee the management and auditing of database security.
Requirements:
At least 3 years’ experience as a Database Administrator and 3 years in a management role
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of SQL Server 2016. 2019 is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills
Experience of Oracle is helpful in the role but not essential.
