Chief Technical Officer

CTO required for a market-leading software house based Cork. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in the strategy and next stage of growth for the company. The majority of staff are Cork based so this role will require a reasonable amount of face time in Cork

Responsibilities

• As a member of the senior leadership team, reporting to the CEO, you will own the technical vision for the platform
• Lead and manage the engineering teams (C40 engineers covering Java / UI / QA / DevOps etc) including performance management, career development etc
• Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of technology roadmap.
• P&L Management for the IT function of the business

Requirements

• 5+ years as a CTO/Senior technical leadership role, who has successfully managed and scaled product engineering teams
• Significant management and leadership experience – have managed large teams of 30+
• Experience in various delivery methodologies / processes: Scrum, Kanban, Agile, TDD
• Ability to understand and balance corporate goals, team goals, and individual goals in order to make appropriate engineering decisions
