Chief Digital Officer

Chief Digital Officer for new high growth e-commerce business in Berlin. My Client is a multi-brand platform for fashion and lifestyle and is a new venture from one of the worlds most successful fashion retailers.  The Chief Digital Officers primary goal is to drive growth and profitability by driving cost efficient traffic (in and out), recruit brands and negotiate commission / advertising deals

Responsibilities

  • Drive and increase traffic from by optimizing paid advertisement channel
  • Driving revenue through commission and advertising
  • Recruit brands, negotiate commission levels and advertising packages
  • Grow number of active users and sign ups
  • P&L, budget controls
  • Supervise Traffic / digital marketing teams including hiring, performance appraisals, and team development.
  • Work with the CEO and Chief Brand Manager to align team and budgets.
  • Provide high-energy, supportive and a forward-thinking management and mentorship

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience within performance marketing, affiliate and sold advertising, some of which in a fast-paced start-up
  • Sales and profit oriented with knowledge of profit and loss & proven success in scaling businesses
  • Proven success in managing budgets (€1+ million)
  • Deep knowledge of marketing of consumer product e-commerce, and understand branding and product assortment
  • Strong focus on data analysis methods and analytics tools – Google Analytics, PowerBI or similar
  • Knowledge of media buying tools as Google AdWords, Facebook Business Manager, Display and SEO channel
